«Pericopín» is the children's story by Hilda Perera, illustrated by María Luisa Torcida, published in paperback (48 pages, in Spanish).
Pericopín is a worm who lives attached to his routines in an abandoned garden. When a gardener transforms his surroundings into a place full of colour, the little worm feels ugly and out of place. His friend the oak advises him to be patient and trust in the passage of time, because he is about to become something very beautiful.
Published by Editorial Everest in 2009 in the «Leer es vivir» collection; the back cover highlights the values of the natural environment and overcoming change.
Recommended for readers aged 6 and up, especially for early readers who are beginning to enjoy stories with values.
