«Peregrinación a la tierra» is the collection of science fiction stories by Robert Sheckley published by Ediciones Dronte in paperback (167 pages).
The stories in «Peregrinación a la tierra» present speculative futures: a ship with its own opinion about its destination, a matchmaking service by correspondence on an interstellar scale, and other situations where technology forces a reconsideration of what is human. Sheckley combines irony, humour and unease to turn each tale into a small philosophical reflection.
This edition is number 4 of the Nueva Dimensión Collection from Ediciones Dronte and dates from 1976.
A suitable title for readers of classic science fiction who enjoy short stories with an ironic tone and philosophical undertones.
Robert Sheckley was an American writer. First published in the science-fiction magazines of the 1950s, his many quick-witted stories and novels were famously unpredictable, absurdist, and broadly comical.
