«Pedro Páramo y El llano en llamas» is the volume that brings together the novel and short stories of Juan Rulfo, published by Booket in paperback (290 pages, in Spanish).
The volume combines two classics by Juan Rulfo: the novel Pedro Páramo, in which Juan Preciado travels to Comala in search of his father and encounters a town inhabited by voices and ghosts, and the collection of stories El llano en llamas, which soberly portrays rural life in Jalisco, marked by violence, poverty and solitude. His poetic prose moves from the real to the fantastic.
The back cover presents this edition as the «Definitive edition of the great 20th-century classic». Rulfo's work is considered a classic of Hispanic American literature.
Mexican writer and photographer, author of Pedro Páramo and The Burning Plain, works that decisively shaped Spanish-language fiction.
