«Paul capitaine des pompiers» is the children's book by Pakita and Jean-Philippe Chabot, published by Rageot in paperback (28 pages, in French).
The class visits the fire station, but the trip doesn't go as planned: nothing happens as expected and the narrator just wants to tell it. The first-person story mixes childhood enthusiasm with small mishaps, helmets, trucks and everyday scenes from the fire brigade.
It is the sixth volume in the «L'école d'Agathe» series and was originally published in October 2000.
French reading for young readers, with a story close to the world of firefighters.
