«Pasaje a la India» is the novel by E.M. Forster about cultural clash in colonial India, published by Navona Editorial in paperback (472 pages, in Spanish).
Forster poetically transfigures the encounter between East and West through Adela Quested, a young Englishwoman who travels to India and becomes involved in an incident that exposes the racial tensions of the British Empire. The novel contrasts intuitive mentality and logic, aesthetics and pragmatism, and shows how friendship and love clash with the impossibility of communication between two worlds.
A masterpiece by its author, originally published in 1924 under the title «A Passage to India». This edition includes the translation by José Luis López Muñoz (472 pages).
Recommended for readers of classics and fiction seeking a lucid critique of colonialism and a nuanced portrait of human relationships.

Edward Morgan Forster was an English author. He is best known for his novels, particularly A Room with a View (1908), Howards End (1910) and A Passage to India (1924). He also wrote numerous short stories, essays, speeches and broadcasts, as well as biographies and pageant plays. His short story "The Machine Stops" (1909) is often viewed as the beginning of technological dystopian fiction. He also co-authored the libretto to Benjamin Britten's opera Billy Budd (1951). Many of his novels examine class differences and hypocrisy. His views as a humanist are at the heart of his work.
