«Papel y plástico» is the graphic novel by Óscar Lombana published by Astiberri in 2008 in paperback (128 pages, in Spanish).
Halfway between a comic and an illustrated book, the work takes a nostalgic journey through objects, toys, sweets, series and comics that marked the childhood and youth of a generation, from Famobil clicks to Cinexín, Nancy, Madelman or Masters of the Universe. The author, a Bilbao native from the class of '71, pays tribute to those products and their often anonymous creators, drawing on his own memories and other people's collections.
First edition of the «Papel y plástico» series, of which the author has published three instalments. Includes a quote by Mauro Entralgo.
For readers nostalgic for the seventies and eighties and fans of twentieth-century Spanish pop culture.
