«Papa est un ogre» is a children's book by Marie Farré, illustrated by Amato Soro, published by Gallimard in paperback (43 pages, in French).
The ogre's son recounts that they live in a stone house by the school road; every day his father catches a plump child and eats him, so the school ends up closing for lack of pupils. The tone is dry and surprising humour.
Work published in 1983, part of the Folio Cadet collection.
Aimed at young readers who enjoy short stories with absurd and surprising humour.
