«Ostiralak» is the contemporary fiction short story book by Jon Arretxe Perez, published in 1999 by Elkar in paperback (140 pages, in Basque).
Six stories follow young people who, leaving their school years behind, see their partying at risk: entering the working world forces them to choose between accepting that routine or trying to sustain their carefree life with imagination. Irony, humour and complicity with the reader structure street-toned stories.
First edition, published on 10 October 1999; part of Elkar's Literatura collection, number 196.
Aimed at a young and adult audience looking for short fiction with humour.
