«Oskar und das Mandelherz» is the children's novel by Kerstin Lundberg Hahn, published by Aladin Verlag in hardback (170 pages, in German).
Oskar believes he needs a dog to be happy. When his parents announce they are expecting a baby and refuse him a pet, he decides to prove he can care for an animal. This 2017 German edition translates the Swedish original «Mandelhjärtat» (2015), with translation by Friederike Buchinger and illustrations by Susanne Göhlich.
A children's and young adult read recommended from age 9, for those who enjoy everyday stories of family and friendship.
