«O misterio do cemiterio vello» is the children's mystery novel by Fina Casalderrey and Manuel Uhía (Ediciones SM, paperback, 144 pages, in Galician).
David and Blanca hear unsettling noises that seem to come from an old, abandoned cemetery. They decide to go in to see what is causing them, and there they encounter strange phenomena, figures they cannot explain, and melodies with no clear origin. The story combines suspense and adventure to talk to children about death.
Published in 2003 and part of the El Barco de Vapor Naranja collection, where it is number 23.
Aimed at readers aged 9 to 12 who enjoy mystery stories and a certain amount of suspense.
Fina Casalderrey is a Spanish writer and educator, considered to be one of the most important writers of Galician children's literature.
