«Non ora, non qui» is the novel by Erri De Luca, published by Feltrinelli in paperback (96 pages, in Italian).
Erri De Luca's first book: it evokes a childhood in Naples to explore the need for belonging and the distance that time imposes on the past. Here memory is not consolation but drama; the narrator contemplates memories that no longer belong to him, turning the re-encounter with what was lived into an experience of loss.
Volume 1195 of the Universale Economica collection by Feltrinelli. Work originally published in 1989.
For readers of contemporary Italian fiction and of short works focused on memory and childhood.

Enrico "Erri" De Luca is an Italian novelist, translator and poet. He has been recognized by critic Giorgio De Rienzo of Corriere della Sera as "the writer of the decade". He is also known for his opposition to the Lyon-Turin high speed train line, and is being sued for having called for its sabotage. On 19 October 2015, De Luca was cleared of inciting criminal damage. He reacted to the not-guilty verdict declaring that "An injustice has been avoided."
