«Niko, el pirata» is a children's adventure story by Christine Nöstlinger, published by Macmillan in hardback (48 pages, in Spanish).
Niko, son of the captain of a pirate ship, is old enough to travel with his father. Tradition says that in time he too will become captain, but what he really likes is cooking. The story plays with that dilemma and shows that one's own vocation can coexist with respect for family heritage.
Part of the Librosaurio collection; the back cover announces its sequel, Niko y el cofre del tesoro.
Recommended for early readers aged 6 to 8 and for children who enjoy pirate stories.
