«Mujer en el baño» is a book of short stories and articles by Manuel Rivas, published by Punto de Lectura in paperback (368 pages, in Spanish).
A conversation between a female portrait and its observer gives way to stories that oscillate between essay and fiction. Rivas addresses with irony conservative hypocrisy, rejection of immigrants, sensationalist journalism, and indifference to crime.
The paperback edition is from 2004 and corresponds to the Punto de Lectura imprint; the ISBN-10 is 8466313079.
A title for readers of short fiction, literary journalism, and social criticism.
