«Morirás en Chafarinas» is the young adult novel by Fernando Lalana, published by SM in paperback (205 pages, in Spanish).
A young man assigned to do his military service in a barracks in Melilla sees several comrades die under dark circumstances. Excluded from the official investigation, he decides to follow the clues of the mystery on his own with the help of a peculiar and unexpected character, in a suspense plot that combines crime fiction and adventure narrative.
It is part of the Gran Angular collection (number 102) and won the National Prize for Children's and Young Adult Literature in 1991.
Aimed at a young adult audience, it may also appeal to adults looking for a mystery story with a military setting.
