«Miedo» is the science fiction and fantasy novel by L. Ronald Hubbard, published by Nueva Era in paperback (210 pages, in Spanish).
Jim Lowry, professor of ethnology, wakes up in the street with torn, bloodstained clothes and no memory of the last four hours. Lowry's scepticism towards superstitions and demons seems to have provoked a revenge: in dreams he is warned that, if he ever learns what happened in that time, he will die.
The novel was originally published in English as Fear in 1952; this Spanish edition appeared in 1991.
Suitable for readers of science fiction, fantasy and classic suspense looking for a short novel.

Lafayette Ronald Hubbard was an American author and the founder of Scientology. A prolific writer of pulp science fiction and fantasy novels in his early career, in 1950 he authored the pseudoscientific book Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health and established organizations to promote and practice Dianetics techniques. Hubbard created Scientology in 1952 after losing the intellectual rights to his literature on Dianetics in bankruptcy. He would lead the Church of Scientology – variously described as a cult, a new religious movement, or a business – until his death in 1986.
