«Mi padre es mujer de la limpieza» is the contemporary novel by Saphia Azzeddine, published by Demipage in paperback (180 pages, in Spanish).

Polo, aged 14, describes his chaotic family: to him, his mother is ugly and paralysed, his sister is not right in the head, and his father, a cleaning assistant, has a humiliating job. The novel shows with rawness and tenderness the loss of innocence, the desire for emancipation and the tension between dreams of fulfilment and a home that does not invite success.
