«Mi abuelo, el pirata» is the children's and young adult novel by Ignacio Sanz, published by Edebé in paperback (126 pages, in Spanish).
A boy who has never seen the sea sets sail with his grandfather, an old man determined to follow in the footsteps of his pirate ancestors, on what will be the latter's last journey. Though many consider it madness, the adventure becomes an unforgettable experience about family closeness and the power of dreams.
It belongs to Edebé's Periscopio collection and its first edition was published in 1996.
Aimed at young readers aged fourteen and up, it combines adventure with a look at the relationship between grandparents and grandchildren.
