«Mens & bedrijf» is a collection of cartoons by Peter van Straaten, published by Van Gennep in hardback (64 pages, in Dutch).
The volume collects cartoons with captions, some previously published in the newspaper Het Parool, depicting the office: meetings, boredom, hierarchies and power struggles. Van Straaten ironizes the eternal misunderstanding between men and women at work, with types such as the sexist boss, the climber or the defeated employee.
Published on 12 April 1995; 13 x 19 cm; ISBN 9060129059.
Suitable for those working in professional environments who enjoy acid humour about power dynamics and the clash between the sexes.
Peter van Straaten was a Dutch cartoonist and comics artist. He is best known for his political cartoons as well as his satirical observations of everyday people. He also had a newspaper comic strip Vader & Zoon, which ran in Het Parool for almost two decades.
