«Médico de cuerpos y almas» is the historical novel by Taylor Caldwell, published by MR in paperback (479 pages, in Spanish).
The novel follows Lucano, a healer trained in Babylon and Alexandria, on his long journey from Rome to the Holy Land; his conversion to Christianity clashes with the cruelty of a declining imperial society.

A read for those interested in historical fiction, imperial Rome, and the figure of Saint Luke.
