«Mathias und Amadou» is the children's book by Valérie Michaux, Ariane Le Fort and Philippe De Kemmeter, in paperback, 38 pages, in German.
Mathias and Amadou, two children, watch an old television on which animals from a jungle appear; from that image the book brings development cooperation closer to the youngest readers. The work suggests that working together to improve the future is not just a dream, but an achievable goal.
The subtitle is «Entwicklungszusammenarbeit - nicht nur ein Traum» and the work is published by Amt für Amtliche Veröff. der Europ. Gemeinschaften.
Aimed at children and young people approaching development cooperation for the first time, it can be used as reading material in the classroom.
