«Markos txikiaren problema handia» is a children's book by Gilles Gauthier, published by Editorial Ibaizabal in paperback (112 pages, in Basque).
Markos has a big problem, but he doesn't want anyone to know, not even Jon, his best friend. In a school play he performs the jester, though the one he truly tries to make laugh is not the king in the play, but another king much closer to home. A tender story about childhood worries and family relationships.
Third title in the Paper Txoriak collection, Sail Urdina, published in 2003. Translated from the French by Jose Antonio Sarasola, with illustrations by Pierre-Andrè Derome.
For readers aged 8 and up, especially those who read in Basque and enjoy stories about emotions and school life.
