This completely updated and revised fifth edition of the marathon training guide has helped over half a million people reach their goals. 'Marathon: The Ultimate Training Guide' is one of the best-selling running books of all time for one main reason: it works. Marathon running has evolved, with more runners than ever and a growing popularity of half marathons. This revised edition includes a new chapter on ultramarathons, recovery techniques, training programs, and tips for improving your personal best. At its core, it offers clear information on injury prevention, training, and nutrition, allowing each runner to reach their peak performance without pain, whether for their first marathon or their fiftieth.
