«Madre» is the contemporary novel by Ada Castells, published by Navona Editorial in paperback (192 pages, in Spanish).
When Sara loses her mother, she finds a golden notebook titled 'Confecciones Vidal' where Raquel, her eccentric mother, jotted down her last two years of parties, jewels and dances, and the obstacles she never knew how to face, among them her three daughters. The novel confronts the memories of two women and shows how rereading transforms the impulse for revenge into reconciliation.
Published in January 2020 with translation by Jordi Virallonga, in the Navona Ficciones collection.
Aimed at readers of contemporary fiction interested in memory and family reconciliation.
