«Lysistrata» is the humour comic by Ralf König, published by Rowohlt in a German paperback edition.
Free adaptation of Aristophanes' comedy, with the uninhibited humour and satirical gaze that characterise Ralf König. The story revisits the conflict between men and women to address desire, power and gender roles, in a caricatural key and with corrosive dialogue.
Paperback edition of 126 pages, published in 1987 in Rowohlt's rororo Mann series.
For fans of graphic humour and irreverent takes on the classics, with an openly queer reading.
Ralf König is one of the best known and most commercially successful German comic book creators. His books have been translated into many languages. He has resided in Soest, Dortmund and Berlin and now lives in Cologne.
