«L'últim dinosaure» is the children's novel by Xavier Bertran i Alcalde, illustrated by Ausias Bertran (La Galera, paperback, 120 pages, in Catalan).
When the dinosaurs decide to go up to the sky, Cuca Gran stays on Earth because she puts her friendship with Guida, and later with Guideta, before the call of the sky. Despite the incomprehension of many, her bond with the children and the complicity of a star turn the story into a tale about the value of sincere affection.
It belongs to the Grumets collection, green series (no. 161), and was awarded the Premi Guillem Cifre de Colonya 2003.
Aimed at readers aged 10 to 12, with a story of friendship, dinosaurs and personal decisions.
