«L'ours est un écrivain comme les autres» is the novel by William Kotzwinkle, published by 10 X 18 in paperback (288 pages, in French).
The novel tells the story of a bear who becomes a writer. From that moment on, the protagonist moves in the literary world as a singular character, and his animal condition colours his new vocation. The unusual premise is presented naturally, as if a bear devoted to writing were something ordinary.
