«Los vascos en la historia de España» is the historical essay by José Antonio Vaca de Osma, published by Rialp in paperback (288 pages, in Spanish).
The book covers the role of the Basque people in the history of Spain from Prehistory to the present, with special reliance on Basque sources and authors. Vaca de Osma, a diplomat and historian, presents a rigorous view removed from the political debates of each era, tinged by his evident affection for Euskalherría.
It is part of the History and Biographies collection; this is the 8th edition, published in 1995. It includes bibliographic references and an index.
For a general audience interested in the history of Spain and the role of the Basque Country within it.
