«Los Diarios de Nanny» is the novel by Emma McLaughlin and Nicola Kraus published by Alfaguara in paperback (392 pages, in Spanish).
A student scraping by in a tiny New York apartment takes a job as nanny to Grayer, son of the filthy-rich Mr. and Mrs. X. She soon discovers that looking after the child is the easy part: putting up with the demanding Mrs. X, being invisible to Mr. X, and dealing with a deranged family without losing her sense of humour.
First instalment of the Nanny series. It was originally published in English as The Nanny Diaries in 2002; this Spanish edition appeared in 2003.
Recommended for readers of chick lit and contemporary fiction who appreciate social satire and stories set in New York.
