«L'Onada» is the graphic novel by Stefani Kampmann based on Morton Rhue's work, published by Takatuka in hardback (176 pages, in Catalan).
A history teacher, while explaining Nazism, starts an experiment in class to demonstrate how authoritarian behaviours arise. The exercise ends up spiralling out of control and takes on dangerous dimensions for the students. Stefani Kampmann's graphic adaptation reinforces the threat with a sober line and compositions of great visual power.
The work is an adaptation of Morton Rhue's novel, with a Catalan translation by Carme Gala, published in 2010.
For young and adult readers interested in graphic novels about history, authoritarianism and moral dilemmas.
