«Lola» is the humorous graphic novel by Alejandra Lunik, published by Lumen in hardback (120 pages, in Spanish).
Lola is a cynical, mocking, and at times childish woman in her thirties, though strong and independent. The panels portray everyday quirks, philias, and phobias with a touch of humour. Alejandra Lunik presents Lola as a possible alter ego, with irony, kindness, and an observant eye on urban life.
«Lola» was originally published as «Lola #1» in 2013; the Spanish edition from Lumen, without dust jacket, came out in 2015 within the Lumen Gráfica collection.
For readers of graphic novels and humour, especially those who enjoy adult female protagonists with a cynical and everyday outlook.
