«Lobos, historias y leyendas» is the book of stories and legends by José Antonio García Díez, published in paperback by the Diputación de Zamora.
The author gathers tales and legends linked to the wolf in Iberian popular culture, from oral tradition to the rural imaginary. It combines narrative and history to show how this animal has been feared, admired and mythified. The cover illustration, a werewolf telling stories to children, evokes the oral transmission of these stories.
Published in 1997, it has 270 pages and is written in Spanish. The full title, as it appears on the cover, is «Lobos, historias y leyendas. Libro de montería».
For readers interested in Iberian fauna, rural legends and oral tradition.
