«Llamadas nocturnas» is the short story collection by Rafael Pérez Gay, published by Debolsillo in paperback (176 pages, in Spanish).
A series of stories about loves lost and won, farewells and reunions, the passage of time and fatherhood. Drawing on the French and American literary tradition, it turns the call of the night into the pull literature exerts on the reader, with books as a refuge for going on living.
Co-published with Ediciones Cal y Arena, released in September 2008 and part of Debolsillo's Contemporánea collection.
For readers of short stories and brief narrative who appreciate intimate stories about memory, love, family and everyday life.
