«L'Illusion Comique» is the tragicomedy by Pierre Corneille, published by Dessain et Tolra in paperback (127 pages, in French).
A desperate father searches for his son, who has left home; a magician shows him in a vision the young man in love with a girl and struggling with other suitors. The action mixes the comic and the tragic, plays with the boundaries between illusion and reality, and makes the spectator doubt what he is seeing.
Work originally published in 1636; this edition is complete and belongs to the Univers des Lettres collection.
