L'illa de l'holandès

Synopsis of L'illa de l'holandès

Lluis Dalmau, a novelist in creative crisis, is confined to an island for his ideas contrary to a dictatorial regime. The initial desolation will soon change with the contact with people willing to preserve the small plot of freedom they have built. Dalmau will integrate into a story where a debt from the past is about to stir up dark events that seemed buried. A mysterious character, owner of most of the island, kept anonymous and known as the "Dutchman", holds the key to saving a territory and some lives, but no one knows who he is. In an increasingly dehumanized and materialistic world, the characters in this novel claim the right to defend by all means a lifestyle tailored to them.
