Léxico familiar

Synopsis of Léxico familiar

Léxico familiar is an extraordinary work by Natalia Ginzburg that explores memory through the experiences of a Jewish and anti-fascist family, the Levis, in Turin, during the 1930s to 1950s. The author reconstructs her personal and collective history through a particular "lexicon": phrases, expressions, and idioms that, when remembered, act as a direct bridge to the memories of her childhood and youth. This novel stands out for its ability to evoke family intimacy and the historical context of a turbulent era, becoming one of the author's most acclaimed and enduring works.
