«L'Eudémonisme social» is a philosophical essay by Michel Onfray, published by LGF/Le Livre de Poche in paperback (352 pages, in French).
In this essay, Onfray addresses the nineteenth century and champions the utopian dimension of the liberal hedonisms of the industrial era. He traces the eudaimonist potential in authors such as Bentham, Godwin, Flora Tristan, Stuart Mill, Fourier, Owen and Bakunin, seen as an unexplored and promising left.
Fifth volume of the series «Contre-histoire de la philosophie», in the «biblio essais» collection.
For philosophy readers interested in the nineteenth century and in the critical revision of the history of thought proposed by Michel Onfray.
