«Les plus beaux poèmes pour les enfants» is Jean Orizet's children's poetry anthology (LGF/Le Livre de Poche, paperback, 252 pp., in French).
Anthology of French poetry for children bringing together classic authors (Du Bellay, La Fontaine, Hugo, Rimbaud, Verlaine) and contemporary ones (Paul Fort, Maurice Carême, Guillevic). Includes ballads, fables, nursery songs, bestiaries and herbaria, as well as more serious-toned poems that can also reach young readers.
The selection presents the authors in alphabetical order, without grouping the poems by theme or chronology.
Recommended for children aged 6 to 9 and for parents or educators who want to introduce them to French poetry.
