«Les dones invisibles» is the novel by Merce Viana, published by Periferic Edicions in 2018 in paperback.
The narrative follows Indira, a woman in present-day India whom her environment forces to be nothing, to live as a shadow at the service of others. The novel is a tribute to all invisible Indiras and denounces that this inequality also exists, in a more disguised form, in seemingly advanced societies.
The work is written in Catalan, consists of 115 pages, and falls under Literature and Fiction.
Recommended reading for those interested in social narrative and the situation of women in India.
