Les aventures d'en Quixot

Synopsis of Les aventures d'en Quixot

«Les aventures d'en Quixot» is the children's adaptation by Anna Obiols Llopart of Don Quixote, published by Lumen in paperback (28 pages, in Catalan).

A children's story that introduces Cervantes's work to the youngest: a gentleman who has lost his wits becomes a knight-errant to set the world right, with Sancho Panza as his loyal squire and Dulcinea always in his thoughts. The adaptation brings out the tenderness and humanity of Don Quixote with a didactic and approachable tone.

Published in 2004, it is the first edition, in Catalan; the illustrations are by Joan Subirana Queralt (Subi). It belongs to Lumen's children's and young adult catalogue.

For early readers starting out with Don Quixote; the didactic tone and Subi's illustrations make it suitable for children and young adults.
