«Lehenengo aldiz» is the children's book by Juan Luis Mugertza Unanue, published by Desclée De Brouwer in paperback (80 pages, in Basque).
The protagonist recalls the Sunday when, about to return home, he met a girl at the Itziarko Txitxarro dance hall. Narrated naturally, the episode combines the excitement of a first encounter with a touch of boldness, and begins a relationship he evokes with gratitude. The back cover includes a note from the author thanking Olatz.
It belongs to the Ipotxak eta Erraldoiak collection and corresponds to the first edition, published in 1999.
A reading suitable for children and young adults, and for readers beginning to learn Basque.
