«Le Serment» is the crime novel by Arttu Tuominen, published by Éditions de La Martinière in paperback (432 pages, in French).
The story brings together three men who were childhood friends when one is found murdered and another is arrested as a suspect. The inspector in charge of the case is the third of the group, and the investigation unearths a blood pact and old grudges they thought forgotten on the Finnish coast.
Published in 2021, the book received the Grand Prix du Meilleur Polar Finlandais and was a finalist for the Prix Clé de Verre du Meilleur Polar Scandinave.
For readers of Finnish crime fiction who value stories of crime, friendship, and secrets from the past.
