«Le quartier des maudites» is Maud Marin's testimonial book, published in 1991 by Fixot in paperback (279 pages, in French).
It brings together testimonies from women in prison: mothers, students, thieves or drug addicts, rich or poor, who have fallen into the world of prison. Maud Marin, who spent years in prostitution before becoming a lawyer, visited women's prisons in France and around the world to listen to and defend inmates, and narrates their tragic fates.
Written with the collaboration of Marie-Thérèse Cuny. It is part of Fixot's Document collection and includes bibliographic references (p. [282]).
For those looking for real testimonies and chronicles of denunciation about the prison system and the situation of women prisoners.
