«Le prochain sur la liste» is the crime novel by Dan Greenburg, published by Seuil in paperback (403 pages, in French).
The story presents a peculiar criminal case: the reader knows the killer from the start, so the tension centres on how the police will manage to catch her. The narrative offers a succession of raw and violent scenes, with a dark and oppressive urban atmosphere.
Subtitled «roman» on the cover, it belongs to the Policiers collection from Seuil and was published in 1991.
For readers of noir and crime fiction who prefer raw, direct suspense, with the killer's identity revealed from the outset.
