«Le prince tigre» is the illustrated children's picture book by Jiang Hong Chen, published by L'École des Loisirs in paperback (45 pages, in French).
In a forest, a tigress mourns her cubs killed by hunters. Blind with grief, she attacks villages and devours men and animals without calming her fury. The king consults the old woman Lao Lao, who advises him not to send the army: only by offering his only son, Wen, can the tigress be appeased. The boy leaves without fear.
