«Le manoir en pagaille» is the children's picture book by John Patience, published by Les Editions Tormont in paperback (24 pages, in French).
Monsieur Camille, the gardener of the Pomme d'Api mansion, decides to practise the art of topiary and trims the hedges into animal shapes: a duck, an elephant and a soldier. When he loses his balance on the ladder, trouble begins and the day ends in hilarious chaos.
«Muddles at the Manor», the original English work, was published in 1984. This French edition, translated by Martin Des Rochers, belongs to the series Les contes de Vertelune.
Aimed at early readers and young children who enjoy stories about humanised animals and colourful illustrations.
John Patience is an English author and illustrator. He is best known for his Fern Hollow series of books for young children.
