«Le livre des bruits» is a children's picture book by Soledad Bravi, published in 2021 by L'Ecole des Loisirs in hardback (60 pages, in French).
A picture book that brings together almost all the noises of the world to remind us what sound each thing makes: the trumpet goes «pouêt», the firecracker «boum», the wolf «oooouuuh», the owl «ouh ouh», a cold goes «atchoum» and spinach «beurk». The simple-line illustrations invite the youngest to discover sounds and onomatopoeia.
2021 reissue, published on 6 October; the original work appeared in 2004. French edition.
For babies and children aged 0 to 3 who are beginning to explore sounds and language through onomatopoeia.
