«Le Fils d'Abraham» is the historical novel by Marek Halter, published by Presses Pocket in paperback (442 pages, in French).
1967: Marek Halter witnesses his father's death and inherits a notebook containing centuries of his family's memory. From there, he unites two quests: offering a solution to the Arab-Israeli conflict and reconstructing his past. The result is a great chronicle of Judaism, its exiles, and the question of Jewish identity.
Work originally published in 1983 under the title La Mémoire d'Abraham; this French edition dates from 1990.
For readers of historical fiction and stories about Jewish identity, exile, and the Middle East.
