«Le bison» is the illustrated children's book by Catharina Valckx, published by L'École des Loisirs in paperback (24 pages, in French).
Billy, a hamster cowboy, finds his father's lasso and decides to catch the most difficult animal: a bison. After practising unsuccessfully with his friend Jean-Claude, the worm, a huge bison appears drinking at the river, and the adventure turns into a funny mix-up about who will catch whom.
The work belongs to Catharina Valckx's Billy series; the author also did the illustrations.
For young children and early readers who enjoy animal adventures and humour.
