"Las vacaciones del califa" is a comic book from the Iznogud series, created by René Goscinny (writer) and Jean Tabary (illustrator). In this installment, the grand vizier Iznogud, always seeking to become caliph instead of the caliph, devises new plans and schemes to achieve his ambitious goal. With his characteristic humor and absurd situations, Iznogud and his loyal assistant face various adventures and challenges in their attempt to overthrow the caliph. This album is part of the Green Africa Guide collection and is a sample of the ingenuity and creativity of its authors.

René Goscinny was a French comic editor and writer, who created the Asterix comic book series with illustrator Albert Uderzo. Born in France to a Jewish family from Poland, he spent his childhood in Argentina where he attended French schools and later lived in the United States for a short period of time. There he met Belgian cartoonist Morris. After his return to France, they collaborated for more than 20 years on the comic series Lucky Luke.
