Why do we buy what we buy? Are we really in control of our decisions or can we be manipulated as consumers? Are there traps in the offers? What influences a product to seem expensive or cheap to us? Does the person who pays with a credit card spend more? Why do we buy things we don't need? Do brands influence our degree of satisfaction with a product? Are there more ethical thefts than others? Are we compulsive and irrational shoppers? This book answers these and many other questions about our daily decisions, as consumers and as citizens, based on cutting-edge experiments carried out by the prestigious consumer psychology specialist Dan Ariely. The author provides us with new and surprising conclusions about human nature, which will help the reader make better decisions in their personal and professional life.
